Coffee Time

There are a few things that I collect when I travel. One of them is coffee beans. I am a sucker for packaging, so if the beans come in a uniquely designed bag or box, I’m in. If there are limited edition collabs with artists, musicians or local characters, sign me up. Hyper bonus points If the beans are oily, dark and roasty. And, ultimately, the beans need to yield rich, delicious coffee for my daily drinker (pictured below).

Kollective Coffee + Tea, Hot Springs, Arkansas

I am a complete idiot for not taking note of the exact name of this latte from Kollective Coffee + Tea in Hot Springs, AR. What I can tell you is that it had chili in it and it was delicious. The Eclipse coffee beans from Onyx Coffee Lab are on deck in my kitchen. If the coffee is anywhere near as incredible as the design and packaging, I’ll be collecting everything they produce. My basic coffee set up is not worthy.

Do Your Thing, Marfa, Texas

A moment of teary silence for Do Your Thing in Marfa, which was truly magical. They will close their doors on June 4, 2023. Their horchata latte and Solidarity Toast will forever be in my heart. This one hurts.
