For many years I’ve been baking cookies.  Usually it’s chocolate chip – my classic go-to.  I like to bake, but more than that, I like to deliver baked goods to people.  Call me crazy.  I just like the giddy-ness that inevitably ensues around a batch of cookies.  I’ve taken cookies to indie rock poker games in Chicago where I took home a good portion of the kitty (beginners luck).  I’ve traveled all the way to Portland with a red velvet “stripper cake” (that’s a story for another time), and once I sent cookies to London.  I won’t attempt that again.

I still bake the choc chip cookies.  I’ll just come out and say it: They. Are. Awesome.   I’ve also added some new kinds of the vegan & gluten free variety, which make us all feel slightly better about eating cookies for breakfast.  They also feed my vegan and gluten adverse friends, which makes me (and them) happy.

I bake them.  You eat them.  It’s pretty simple.
